Hey, I'm looking to get a new rear tire soon. Right now I have a D739 110 90 on it. Any suggestions? I don't want something that will have to be changed out every race though...

Hey Norm,
We have been running the 952 on both bikes. The tires lasts a loooooonnnggg time. It does feel a bit wierd in mud but I am ok with that as a trade off. It also cost a lot less than a 756.

hey poppy...

i use Bridgestone 403/404 and they have lasted me a good long time. maybe not cheap, about a $100 bucks or so. another brand that i have heard last forever, is Maxxis IT. they are a little less expensive.

if you want to contact this guy: Andy Farris with Rollin Tire Service 559-303-4743. he can dismount old, mount new and hook you up with any tire you want.

I normally don't use anything but the 756 but Cycle Gear in Fresberg had 739s for $35. I bought four of them so I won't be buying any rear tires for a while.

All tires last a good amount of time if you ride tracks (especially those with good dirt like TCP). If you ride in the hills some tires will shred up knobs pretty quick.

When I used to ride at Clear Creek as a kid, we would use the IRC VE-33 (if my memory serves me correct). They were relatively cheap, worked good, and lasted a long time in the rocks.

I have the Maxis Its on my bike right now. Won the rear down south at the national.
I bought the Desert version of the front. Resists pinching(cause lets be honest we short some jumps)
Real happy.
One of our Western power sports reps wants we to try a new tire they came out with. I hope to get some for the national raffle.

I have the bridgestone 404 on the rear. For me it is the best tire for performance vs wear. Got it from Andy, rolling tire came out to my office to put it on. Had a 756 before, just didn't last long enough.

Norm,
Im not real happy with the Dunlop 756 rear I went to practice on friday with James and well I tore 2/3 of the left side knobs from the belt carcass. The tire date is 07 and Im sorry but I should not be able to do that (yes cause im that slow).

That is very unusual. I've never heard of that happening to ANY tire in my life. You must have REALLY been on it that day! ;) hehe. Or the tire was a POS.

I wound up doing a combo. I put the 952 Dunlop on the rear and went with the Bridgestone 403 in the front. So far so good.
